We are proud to support the development of the UK’s first Net Zero Carbon Building Standard by answering the @NZCBStandard call for evidence on operational energy and embodied carbon.
The UK’s first Net Zero Carbon Building Standard (UK NZCBS) is an important initiative that aims to promote the construction of buildings that produce as much renewable energy as they consume, and have a zero carbon footprint over their entire lifecycle. The standard will cover both operational energy, which refers to the energy used by a building during its normal operation, and embodied carbon, which refers to the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the production and transportation of building materials. By answering the call for evidence on these two topics, we are helping to ensure that the standard is robust and effective in achieving its goal of reducing the environmental impact of buildings.
